Spot the Fake
Spot the Fake is a 90-second teller-training explainer for a fictional Caribbean bank, Leeward Cay Bank, on catching counterfeit $100 bills. It opens with a fact that frames the whole lesson: in the U.S. the most counterfeited bill is the $20, but worldwide it's the $100. Then it poses a challenge: one of two hundreds is fake. Five quick checks follow, grouped as "feel it, tilt it, hold it to the light"*: cotton-and-linen paper and raised printing, the 3-D security ribbon, the color-shifting bell and 100, the portrait watermark, and the security thread that glows pink under UV light. The twist pays off the hook: the fake is a bleached $5 reprinted as a hundred. It passes the counterfeit pen, but its watermark and thread give it away. The video closes on what to do when you suspect a fake. It's built on the official U.S. Currency Education Program image of the note, with every security feature animated as a precise, word-synced overlay. Each check was fact-checked against uscurrency.gov.
